Without a door stop, a door handle can collide with the wall. Eventually the handle will be damaged and the wall will need filling, re-plastering and painting. Installing a door stop is a task that is easy to complete following our simple guide.
Using the door stop, locate and mark a suitable position for the door stop on the floor with a pencil. Make sure the door handle clears the wall by at least one inch when the door is fully open and against the door stop.
Use a multi-purpose detector to check the floor for wires or pipes before drilling.
Drill a hole slightly smaller than the screw provided to fix the doorstop in the position marked earlier.
Manually screw the doorstop into position, making sure the base is flush with the floor.
To prevent the door stop from rotating, screw it firmly into the floor with the screw provided.
