Superbly sweet and very early, this variety has a great colour and is virtually coreless, especially when young. Turns a meal into a feast! Sowing Outdoors Sow seed thinly in pre-watered shallow rows, and cover with a little soil. Allow about 25cm (10in) between rows. As seedlings develop, thin them to about2cm (1in) apart. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established. February and early March sowings are best made in a cold frame or under cloches.
